Non-magnetic drill collars typically have an outer diameter of 70-91mm and a length of 2-6m. They are often made of non-magnetic stainless steel or Monel alloy, with a magnetic permeability of less than 1.05μH/m. They have a tensile strength exceeding 800MPa and strong torsional resistance. They are mainly used for measurement while drilling in oil and gas drilling, providing accurate data for directional drilling, avoiding magnetic field interference, and ensuring the accuracy of trajectory measurement and guidance.
