Abstract
To deepen university-enterprise cooperation and enhance students' practical abilities, students from the 2021 class of Materials Science and Engineering went to four companies—Shanxi Guangkai Machinery Technology Co., Ltd., Kangbote Yangquan New Materials Co., Ltd., Shanxi Liteng High-tech Magnetic Industry Co., Ltd., and Shanxi Qining New Materials Technology Co., Ltd.—during their first week of school for a four-week graduation internship.Shanxi Qining New Materials Technology Co., Ltd.This internship aimed to combine theoretical knowledge with practical application, helping students gain a deeper understanding of enterprise production processes, quality control, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
The internship was divided into two phases. In the first phase, company experts gave detailed explanations of company Culture, management philosophy, quality control systems, processes, equipment operation, and processing technologies. Combining their prior professional knowledge, the students actively thought, asked questions, and engaged in in-depth exchanges with company experts, creating a lively atmosphere.
The second phase was a rotational internship, where students were assigned to production lines, inspection centers, and other positions for on-the-job training. Under the guidance of experienced engineers, students participated in product testing and data analysis, applying classroom learning to actual production and further solidifying their professional knowledge and improving their practical skills.
This internship not only provided students with valuable practical opportunities but also deepened cooperation and communication between the university and enterprises. Students expressed that through this internship, they gained a deeper understanding of the field of materials science and engineering and a clearer plan for their future career development. The internship units gave high praise to the students' performance during the internship and expressed their intention to continue strengthening cooperation with universities to jointly cultivate high-quality applied talents.
The 2021 class was the first group of students enrolled in the Materials Science and Engineering major, and this was the first time the major conducted a graduation internship. The successful completion of this graduation internship marks a solid step forward for our university's Materials Science and Engineering major in terms of industry-education integration and university-enterprise cooperation, laying a solid foundation for cultivating high-quality talents with innovation and practical abilities.
