A Brief Discussion on the Heat Treatment Technology of Build-Up Welding Rods
24 May,2019
The process performance of crack-free welding rods. The welding rod uses Ni80Cr20 type electric furnace wire as the core wire, and is coated with a metal-graphite type coating. Although no ore powder (marble, rutile, mica, etc.) that plays a role in arc stabilization, slag formation, and gas generation is added to the coating, a large amount of flake graphite (C) is added to the coating. The graphite not only plays a lubricating and plasticizing role during the pressing of the welding rod, but also during the welding process, most of the C is oxidized to generate CO (or CO2) gas to displace the air in the arc column area and protect the molten metal.
